Duchess would do best in a calm, quiet environment. She would do OK in a home with older respectful children. She does not require another cat at home and would be fine by herself. She would do fine with cats that aren't overly rambunctious. She has been introduced to a dog but proper introduction would be recommended for an overactive dog.
