Reggie
AvailableReggie is a neutered adult male Doberman Pinscher/Australian Kelpie mix with a short coat. Despite fur loss and skin damage from past neglect, he's made significant progress and is now healthy and well cared for in Simpsonville, SC. He is fully vaccinated, house trained, and has special needs due to his skin condition.
About Reggie
Meet Reggie. His early life was rough—he was found at a gas station, underweight, and with serious hair loss. Although he had been neutered and microchipped, no one came for him. Vets suspect malnutrition and fleas were to blame for his missing coat. He’s filled out since, but the hair on his back end never came back; the skin there is too damaged. Sweaters in winter and sunblock in summer keep him comfortable. Reggie enjoys walks, hikes, and occasionally ventures to the dog park if it's not crowded. He does well with other dogs in his foster home, sometimes sharing a bed, but he still eats separately due to food guarding. With roughhousing dogs, he acts as a self-appointed "rufferee." He tolerates cats and gets along with children. Reggie is a medium-energy dog who loves company and dislikes being left outdoors alone. He would thrive with someone able to give him lots of affection, possibly with one other dog. He's up to date on vaccines and has tested negative for heartworm. Ready to meet your new best friend?
