Lazarus started out life in tough conditions, discovered on his own in a storm drain by Wal-Mart. Early on, he could barely trust anyone, but time and patient care taught him people aren’t so bad. He still approaches the world with caution, but he’s quick to warm up once he realizes you’re there to offer kindness and a gentle hand. He has a cataract on his right eye, though it doesn’t bother him or slow him down at all—he gets along just fine. Lazarus is shy at first, but if you’re patient, you’ll see a cat who loves gentle affection and has learned to appreciate the company of people. He gets along with other cats and has shown he can be around children too. Give him a bit of time and he’ll become a steady companion, always happy to accept quiet pets.
