Hercules is a gentle giant with a lot of heart in an extra-large package. He’s leash trained (no-pull harness works best), completely housetrained, and knows sit and down commands right off the bat. He’ll keep you laughing with his skill at catching treats—no doubt, he’s a master. But you’ll want to stock up on the sturdiest, biggest toys out there (think horse toys); Hercules will get creative if you don’t. A securely fenced yard is absolutely necessary to keep his adventures contained, and given his strength and energy, he’s not suited for homes with children or anyone with mobility limitations. If you’re squeamish about drool, he’s not your match. Hercules produces plenty, and he’s honest about taking it with him wherever he goes.
