About Vera
Vera is an 8-year-old Chihuahua with plenty of personality. She bounced between a couple of homes before landing at the Castaic shelter, where she found it tough and wound up labeled “rescue only.” Since arriving at the rescue in Agua Dulce, Vera has settled in fast. She’s athletic—surprisingly so—and clever, always up for a little challenge. While she’s affectionate with people, she isn’t always comfortable around other dogs, so the team is working with her on that. Vera thrives on attention and makes a devoted companion for someone ready to welcome her quirks and energy. For adoptions, visits to the rescue in Agua Dulce (Santa Clarita), CA, and in-person home checks are required. Click apply to start the adoption process.
