About Shishi

Shishi is an orange tabby with vivid green eyes, and he's one of those cats who wants affection—after he's had time to feel safe. He’s bonded closely with his sister Mousie, and the two have been together since their rescue two years ago on Mother’s Day. Both started out wary, needing time to accept people, but now seek out pets, especially when food or their foster mom are involved. Their mom, once semi-feral, now enjoys laps in San Diego, so with some patience, Shishi and Mousie will likely turn into loyal lap warmers too. While they've lived with dogs and other cats, these two are best off as the only pets at first. They do best where someone can be home most of the time, so they can settle in and become trusting companions. Shishi, whose nickname comes from Shiner Boch beer, is a quiet, sometimes timid boy but turns playful and talkative when the mood strikes—he’s even been called "Squawk." Give him time, and you’ll see his true colors show up in a big way. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
