About Joey
Joey is a striking large tuxedo cat with unforgettable ears, big paws, and a bigger heart. He spent a long stretch outdoors, then lost his yard and human to a fire, and waited out the next chapter in a lonely garage. Now in foster care, Joey’s proved he’s FIV positive (not a deal breaker) and negative for Feline Leukemia. There was also a heartworm blip, though the vet says this likely means past exposure, nothing ongoing. Joey cannot go outside, so you’ll need to be vigilant with doors—he’s too interested. He’s all about affection: lap time, pets, a little nudge, sometimes even a small ‘love bite’ to show his pleasure. Joey speaks his mind and enjoys conversation. He’s not interested in sharing his home with other cats, but he’s eager to give all his love to his person. Joey just had a dental and his teeth are in great shape.
