About Tarah

Make their next chapter their best one yet. Tarah hasn't had the easiest journey—originally coming into care as a kitten back in October 2017 when her first owner could no longer care for her. After being adopted, she returned in December 2019 when her new family was expecting a baby. Tarah is a true diva with confidence and a lovable independent streak; she knows how to make her needs known and asks for attention on her terms. Despite her sassy "cali-tude," she often rewards gentle affection with affectionate head butts and enjoys being petted when she feels comfortable. Tarah would make a wonderful companion for someone who respects her independent nature and understands she'll happily seek you out when she's ready for love. She prefers her own space and isn't crazy about other cats but has coexisted peacefully with a few in the past. An extra special girl, Tarah is FeLV positive, and the shelter staff is happy to answer any questions about welcoming an FeLV+ cat. She also manages some feline OCD behavior when stressed—like chasing her tail—helped by a calming treat supplement. Born on April 18th, Tarah is an Aries, and it shows in her spirited personality!
