About Spunk
Click apply to start the adoption process. Spunk became part of The Hermitage Cat Shelter in May 2025 after his devoted owner moved to a memory care facility. His family traveled from afar, demonstrating how treasured he was, and made every effort to find him the best new home. Their dedication reflected the deep bond Spunk shared with his former owner and their hope for his happy future. Upon arrival, Spunk was understandably stressed and disoriented, but with the help of a quiet environment and some medication, he gradually found his footing. Over time, he unfolded into a charming and delightful companion, and shelter staff now enjoy seeing his personality shine as he adapts to his surroundings. Spunk has a history of urinary issues, believed to be stress-related cystitis. While staying at the shelter on a urinary-friendly diet and in a calm setting, he's experienced no health problems. To continue this progress, Spunk will thrive in a peaceful home with a patient adopter who can offer him a stress-free environment and maintain his special diet. There is no doubt that someone will fall in love with him just as his previous family did. Visit Spunk in the Dietary and Diabetic Darlings room and see if he's the new companion you've been waiting for. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
