About Tess
Tess is a petite senior cat, about eight years old, who relishes her newfound indoor life after surviving years outdoors. Thanks to a steady routine of methimazole in her food for her overactive thyroid, she's healthy and thriving, and mealtime is truly her favorite part of the day. Tess is easy when it comes to taking medication—simply tuck it into her food and she’ll gobble it up without protest. Tess makes her presence known and isn’t shy about telling you exactly what she wants, especially when it comes to food or affection. She’s quite vocal and doesn’t hesitate to chat during feeding time or to request your company. Independent at heart, Tess often enjoys lounging near her people but is equally comfortable entertaining herself or simply watching you from across the room. She does well with small dogs and is friendly with all humans, including children. However, she prefers to be the only cat in the home. Tess tolerates nail trims, baths, and even dressing up without much fuss. She’s ready to share her golden years with someone who appreciates a chatty, confident, and low-maintenance companion.
