About Emily

Emily is a gentle, reserved young Black Labrador Retriever mix with a soft medium coat in classic black with touches of white. She’s spent much of her youth surviving outdoors with her family, and that shows in her careful, observant manner—though her time in rescue has brought out a budding curiosity about humans. At just over a year old and weighing between 28–32 lbs, Emily is learning to trust and enjoy affection. She’s now crate trained, house trained, and up to date on all vaccinations. Emily has been spayed for her health and is ready for the stability and kindness of a true home. She does well with other dogs and children, but she will need a home with a securely fenced yard—no exceptions. Emily is currently in Athens, AL. Travel to meet in person is required, and all adoptions are finalized after a Zoom call with the rescue. Emily is an Aquarius, so she just might surprise you with her independent streak and quiet intelligence. Give her a little time, and she will settle in with the right blend of patience, gentle guidance, and love. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
