Romeo is a large, short-coated male pointer who is neutered and house trained. He is vaccinated and has shown he is good with children. Currently, he is in Palm City, FL and is looking for a stable environment after his remarkable recovery.

About Romeo

Romeo’s history is a rough one; six months stuck in one of Florida’s busiest kill shelters left its mark, but he pulled through against the odds. When he first arrived, he needed emergency surgery to remove an embedded harness. He’s come out the other end healed and looking for stability. Since then, Romeo has settled into foster care, where he’s shown himself to handle kids and adults with ease—he’s steady, and not easily fazed by the everyday chaos of family life. He gets along with some dogs, usually the confident types, but he’ll need a home with no small dogs and absolutely no cats, given his high prey drive. Romeo’s a short-coated, large-breed pointer mix, sharp and clever, the kind that needs both mental and physical engagement. He really deserves a proper home after everything he’s survived.
