About Monica
Not every dog comes easy, and Monica doesn’t pretend to fit the mold. She’s one of those cases where commitment truly pays off. Monica often prefers her own company—no other animals, please—and her mood can be a challenge. But matched with the right adult home, she will devote herself completely. She’s a Plott Hound mix, about nine and a half, with a brindle coat and a sharp mind. Monica has already put in the work: she graduated an 8-week training course, knows her basic commands inside and out, and wants nothing more than to be outdoors moving alongside you. She’d thrive with active adults who understand and respect her boundaries. Monica is not built for busy parks or lazy afternoons on the sofa. She’s looking for someone who values a strong bond with one smart, loyal dog who doesn’t need a pack to feel whole. Born January 25, Monica’s an Aquarius—independent through and through. Think you’re the one to give her the solo spotlight? Your new best friend is just one click away.
