About Comet
Comet is a striking young German shepherd/Labrador mix, born December 13, 2023, and full of sweetness. At about 61 pounds, she’s a gentle soul who thrives on affection and adventure. Comet came into rescue with her littermates and mom, and has flourished under the guidance of a dedicated foster family. She’s house-trained and crate-trained, making the adjustment to a new home easier. Comet loves her walks, handles the leash well, and enjoys outings with her people. She gets along great with other dogs, so would do well with a canine companion in the home. While she’s never lived with small children, she does fine with adults and older kids—ages 10 and up are recommended. Comet is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, plus she’s never met a stranger she didn’t like. She’s playful, loyal, and ready to explore the world with her new family. Give her the home and adventures she’s waiting for. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Comet
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Comet, as a German shepherd/Labrador mix, thrives in homes with plenty of space and an active family who can involve her in daily life. She would do best in a house with a yard rather than a small apartment.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A large, secure yard gives Comet room to play and burn off energy. She'll benefit from daily walks and extra outdoor time, as her breeds like to stay active.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Comet’s breeds are known for their gentle nature with kids, and she herself does well with older children (ages 10+). She hasn't lived with small children, so a home with older kids is best.
