About Smokey Aka Scout
Think you are the one? Submit an application! Meet Smokey, also known as Scout—the adventurous pup with a splash of white on the back of his neck! Weighing about 11 pounds, this curious explorer’s favorite pastime is investigating his surroundings, no matter how big or small the dogs around him might be. With a Mini Australian Shepherd father and a Jack Russell Terrier mother, Smokey is energetic, brave, and has a playful, sneaky side—he’s never one to turn down a challenge, especially if it means slipping through a small gap for a new adventure. Smokey enjoys walks on a leash and adores giving kisses, though you might need to catch him first! At only 4 to 5 months old, he’s looking for his forever family who will help him grow and blossom. Smokey is currently fostered in Gurnee, IL, up to date on vetting, with his neuter surgery scheduled soon. He is excited to meet his future special person or family and start his next chapter together. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
