About Koi
Koi has grown cautious during her long stay at the Sanctuary, having arrived with a group of cats after her home life was suddenly upended. While some of her companions found families, Koi stayed behind, taking time to recover and reveal her gentler side. Shelter life rattled her at first; you could sense her unease, unsure if she was angry about the upheaval or just wary of her new world. The more time passes, though, the clearer it becomes that Koi has warmth to offer. In quieter momentsâespecially when Churu treats and turkey lunch meat are involvedâshe will nudge against you for affection before retreating to her comfort zone. Those brief connections hint at the cat she could become with patient care. Koi would thrive in a calm home where sheâs free to adjust on her own terms. She isnât suited for a household with small children, but she does get along with other cats. At about six years old, Koi is spayed, vaccinated, litter trained, negative for FeLV/FIV, and microchipped. Sheâs waiting in Breinigsville, PA for someone who will let her settle in at her pace.
