She alternates between wild bursts of zoomies and lounging in a cozy spot with her favorite squishmallow. Living close to 50 lbs, June Bug has sat patiently through years of waiting, but her spirit and love for people have never faded. She does best in a calm, predictable home with patient adults who respect her space while she settles in. Earning her trust may take treats, time, and understanding, but she pays it all back with unwavering affection once she’s chosen you. She’s not much for hugs right away, but when she’s comfortable, she’s all in with her chosen people. June Bug prefers to be the only pet and isn’t suited for a household with cats or young kids. Experienced dog people willing to do thoughtful, structured introductions may be considered, and crate-and-rotate setups can work for her.
