Click apply to start the adoption process. Buford’s journey began on the streets of LA, but thanks to a kind heart, he now delights in all the joys a loving foster home can bring. This 90 lb Boxer has truly blossomed—he’s adapted beautifully to life among three large canine companions, becoming the perfect house guest and a true gentleman. Buford’s easygoing nature shines as he soaks up the sun, snuggles closely with his humans on the bed or couch, plays a lively game of fetch, enjoys relaxing in front of the fan, and loves his stuffed animals. He eagerly joins in for movie nights and learns new commands rapidly, already mastering “sit,” politely going to his pen for meals, and waiting patiently for his food. At bedtime, he goes potty and settles in as a wonderful sleeper through the night—demonstrating just how easy he is to live with. An ideal home for Buford would offer a spacious yard where he can play and explore, plus active adopters who want a loyal friend for hiking, walks, and new adventures. Buford’s leash skills are a work in progress, but with continued guidance, he’ll make a top-notch outdoor companion. Questions about Buford
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Boxers thrive best in homes with space to move, such as houses with fenced yards. They enjoy being close to their families and are not suited to full-time outdoor living.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Boxers require a good amount of outdoor space to play and exercise. A yard is ideal, but with frequent trips to parks and enough daily walks, they can do well in other living conditions.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Boxers are known for their affectionate and patient nature, making them excellent companions for children. Supervision is still recommended, especially with younger kids, due to their size and playful energy.
