Roxie
AvailableRoxie is a 2-and-a-half-year-old female Domestic Short Hair with a brown tabby and white coat. She's on the petite side and has a short coat that gives her a sleek look. Currently in East Northport, NY, Roxie is both spayed and vaccinated, and she is house trained. She does best as an only cat and needs someone experienced in feline care to help her adjust at her own pace.
About Roxie
Roxie is searching for a patient, cat-savvy adopter who can give her the understanding she needs. The shelter environment has been overwhelming for her, especially being surrounded by other cats. Roxie was left on the roadside, and while trust hasn't come easily, she's made impressive progress since her difficult first days. People are her comfort: spend some quiet time with Roxie and her affectionate, gentle nature starts to appear. Though small in size, she's got a big spirit. Roxie prefers to have conversations with her humans—sometimes she can be vocal, but her eyes reveal more than any sound. Lately, sadness and uncertainty have shut her down in the shelter, but given the right environment, her loyal and loving side comes out. Roxie needs a home where she'll be the only cat and an adopter who knows a thing or two about cats. She'll reward you with devotion and plenty of lap snuggles.
