Meet Pepper, a sweet and resilient 6-year-old terrier mix who’s finally learning what it means to be loved and cared for after living in unfit conditions. Pepper is full of life, always eager to greet the world with a wagging tail and soft, trusting eyes. She’s quick to lean in for pets and enjoys being showered with affection. Though she’s still adjusting to the joys of playtime, Pepper’s energy sometimes holds her back from fully engaging with toys, but we believe that with time, she’ll discover the fun of a squeaky toy or rope. On the leash, she’s a little pull-happy and zigzags her way through walks, but with time and consistency, she’ll surely settle into a calmer stride. Pepper would do best in a home with children 16+ and a family who can offer her the structure, patience, and love she needs to keep blossoming into the confident, playful pup she’s meant to be.
