About Crescent
Crescent, an orange Domestic Short Hair, is a sweet and slightly shy cat looking for a home that’ll give him time to settle in. He spent his early days in an abandoned building alongside his siblings and mom, learning quickly how to trust when a good meal is involved. Crescent can be hesitant around new people but his love for wet food always helps him warm up. He’ll take gentle petting as long as you pay your toll—start with treats, and he’s all yours. Once comfortable, Crescent sticks close during mealtimes, weaving between legs and purring, and enjoys spending time lounging on cat trees or high shelves with his foster feline friends. He really thrives when he has the company of another confident cat and needs to be adopted with a feline buddy or join a household with a friendly resident cat. He’s done well around dogs in foster care and should be fine with respectful pups after slow introductions. Older children who understand cat signals would also be a fit. Start him out in a quiet, smaller room to help him adjust. Crescent has been treated for FIP, so adopters should read up on feline infectious peritonitis even though recurrence is rare—he’s healthy now and ready for a fresh start. Crescent is already neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
