Nena is a 4 year-old terrier mix with a tender heart and a gentle nature. While shy at first, she warms up with a bit of time and trust, showing sweet eye contact and a calm presence. She walks well on leash, knows how to sit and give paw, and prefers engaging with her person over toys. Nena is currently being treated at the shelter for a severe skin allergy and is on the road to recovery. She is quite sensitive with handling due to her medical issues, but we are hopeful that once it clears, she will be more trusting with handling with those she trusts. Due to her sensitive nature, she’s best suited for an adult-only home where she can continue healing and thriving. With love and patience, Nena will make a loyal and loving companion.
