Dex is a 4.5-year-old German Shepherd mix who was surrendered to us. He can be a sweet, playful, and affectionate dog with the right structure and training. He is friendly and social with strangers, enjoys playtime with toys, and seeks affection. Dex has a history of food guarding, so he will need a family who has experience in this area. He responds well to basic commands like sit, down, stay, speak, and paw, though he’ll need some reinforcement with crate training. Dex can pull on the leash, so some leash training will be helpful. Due to his past, he would do best in a home with teens 16+ and an experienced adopter who can provide consistency and clear boundaries.
