Sabre can be hard to photograph—call his name or make eye contact and he’s already coming over, curious and ready for attention. He landed in rescue as a tiny kitten after his mother passed, and he’s grown up quietly waiting for someone to pick him. Sabre takes a little while to open up, but if you give him space and time to settle in, he shows you just how sweet he can be. He’s good with other cats and calm dogs, though he’ll usually retreat from loud commotion. Petting is his thing; he’s not big on being picked up, but he’ll stay close, especially if dinner is involved or there are birds outside to watch. One look from Sabre and you’ll know he’s loyal for life. He’s especially close to his brother Pewter—they’re a bonded pair and would thrive together if you have room for two.
