Damon was rescued along with his sister, Ruby, back in 2018. At the time, they were living on chains in a backyard. Their owner had abandoned them, and they had not been fed for weeks when we discovered them. Since coming to the Tunica Humane Society, Damon and Ruby have known nothing but our unwavering love. I can honestly say, they are two of the most loving dogs in our care. Damon is probably 8-9 years old now. Weighing in at 80 lbs., he is truly a gentle giant. He loves to be petted more than any other dog I've ever known. He just closes his eyes and takes it all in. Damon would be the ultimate couch potato. He's very chilled. He loves all the attention he can get. Early on, he let us know he feels threatened by other dogs. He has never wanted to be around any of our shelter dogs. He has always craved the company of a humans. Damon is such a calm and peaceful dog, he has a very calming effect just being with him. Some of my most special moments each day are spent in the company of this extraordinary dog. Damon is a happy dog at our shelter. But I know he would be happier if we could spend the entire day just with him. He craves human contact. He loves BIG. How wonderful it would be if we could find this special dog the perfect forever home. We will never stop praying for Damon's ship to come in.
