A testimony from a volunteer - "Today my favorite was China. Every time I'm at Tunica HumaneSociety I discover a new favorite, but today it was China. She doesn't demand a lot of attention and she's easy to overlook because, well, she's easy. She's sweet but not greedy for attention, she's obedient with simple commands, she's patient when it comes to waiting her turn to play, she's a happy dog. Today I decided to get to know China a little better. When I sat on the ground next to her, she moved behind me, stuck her head and half her body under my left arm, and there she stayed, relaxed and content. I rubbed her ears and her back and we talked for a while. She turned and looked at me every once in a while with the kindest, most grateful eyes. Then, when it was time to go back inside, to the kennel where she lives 23 1/2 hours a day, she didn't argue or put up a fight. She gave me a kiss and thanked me for spending a few extra minutes with her, outside in the warm sun, and sighed. Today my favorite was definitely China." China has been at the shelter since 2017 waiting on a forever family to find her.
