About Kong
Kong is a Dutch Shepherd with a beaming personality who’s looking for his next loving foster home. Medium-sized at about 50 lbs and sporting a short coat, he’s nearly two years old and has already spent much of his young life in shelters. Currently staying in a temporary foster in Queens, NY, Kong has had to move because his previous foster is facing sudden medical challenges. He’s a high-spirited, playful dog who’s eager to please and quick to learn new tricks. House-trained and well along in his obedience training, Kong thrives around other balanced, medium or large male dogs, especially those he can learn from—think of him as a little brother who gets along well in a calm canine group. He is happiest when he’s playing with toys, splashing in water, joining in on adventures, or settling down for a snuggle. His friendly nature carries over to children too, particularly those 13 and up who understand dog boundaries and energy. Kong’s energy and intelligence will bring real brightness to any home, and he’s ready to start his next chapter with someone who can offer stability and fun. Ready to meet your new best friend?
