About Cherish
Meet Cherish and her sister Malena—two bonded senior cats returned to the rescue after their adopter passed away. After spending their lives together, they're now adjusting to a new environment. Cherish is the braver of the two, becoming more social, and won’t hesitate to meow for attention when she wants something. Malena is more reserved and keeps to herself, but they both find comfort in having each other nearby. These girls do not get along with other cats or dogs, so they’re best suited to a home where they can be the only pets. Cherish and Malena will thrive in a quiet space with patient adopters who appreciate the unique personalities that come with age. They’re house trained and have grown up indoors, so you won't have to worry about litter box habits. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving pair who simply want to retire together in peace, Cherish and Malena are ready to start their new chapter by your side. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Cherish
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Cherish, as a Domestic Short Hair cat, is very adaptable and comfortable in most home environments, especially those that are calm and consistent. She will settle in best where she has a cozy, safe space to relax with her sister.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Domestic Short Hair cats like Cherish do not require outdoor access and often do well as indoor cats, where they're safe and secure. A window perch or sunny spot inside is usually plenty for her.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Domestic Short Hair cats can suit homes with gentle, respectful children, but as Cherish is a senior and more reserved, a quieter home without young kids may be best for her comfort.
