About Simba
Simba had a rough start, arriving as a stray last summer, skinny but incredibly sweet. After a tough stint in a shelter, he thought he was home for good, but things changed, and sadly, he was at risk of winding up back in a kennel. Luckily, a foster family stepped in, and Simba’s been thriving ever since. At about 4 years old and 50 pounds, he’s a little ‘pocket lion’ who rides quietly in the car—sitting up just like a person. Mornings are slow and peaceful with Simba; he’s in no hurry to get you out of bed. He’s happiest basking in the sun or zipping around the yard, and his harness manners make walks easy. Simba’s potty trained and crate trained, and he likes to impress with his quick learning—sit comes easy, and he’s picking up new tricks with a little treat motivation. Out in the world, Simba is a true social butterfly and has done well meeting older children, though he hasn’t been around the littlest kids. He gets along well with other dogs and has the heart of a loyal companion. Fun fact: Simba is a Cancer, so it’s no surprise he’s both sweet-natured and loyal once he trusts you.
