About Dante

Dante is a 60 lb husky mix with striking two-toned eyes and a mostly quiet way about him. At just over 3 years old, he combines that classic husky curiosity with an affectionate streak—happy to stretch out on the couch, curl up at your feet, or accompany you on outdoor adventures. He enjoys the company of both dogs and cats, respecting feline boundaries and wrestling happily with other dogs. Tug-of-war is a favorite game, and he’s working on dropping the rope for another round—he’s eager but just needs more practice and consistency. Dante already knows basic commands like sit and come, and he’s working on ā€œstay.ā€ Like many huskies, he sometimes vocalizes excitement, but he’s not your typical barker. Indoors or outside, he finds his groove—sometimes napping in the dirt or doghouse, other times stretched out in his crate or at the foot of your bed. He loves both the home and fresh air. His independent streak means fences have to be secure: Dante’s proven he can scale a gate with a wood rail, so standard fencing or leash walks are a must. Supervision is non-negotiable—he’s a wanderer at heart, which is how his previous adventure as a stray started. He’s gentle and does well with kids, and he’s on a light diet to shed a little extra weight from too many treats in the past. Dante is being fostered in Chehalis and is adoptable throughout Washington State. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
