About Marlena
Start your journey together! Apply now. Marlena is an energetic and joyful medium-sized spayed female, weighing around 50 pounds and radiating happiness wherever she goes. Approximately three years old, Marlena is healthy and requires no special care. She is uniquely adorable due to a trauma or birth defect that has shaped the left side of her skull and given her a misaligned jaw, resulting in an endearing and distinctive smile. This feature does not cause her any health problems and only enhances her lovable personality and charm. Her velvety, jet black short fur is remarkably soft, often compared to the coat of a rabbit, making snuggle sessions irresistible. Marlena is responsive to her name, coming when called, and she is fully house trained. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her person—she would happily make a lap dog if given the chance. Marlena gets along with many dogs, especially puppies and younger companions who can match her playful energy, but her exuberant greetings may not suit every canine. She has a high prey drive and is not compatible with cats. Marlena has been waiting in rescue for years and longs for a home where she can truly shine. She is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on all vaccinations, including ongoing heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Her heart is as healthy as her spirit, and she’s eager to meet the family who will cherish her unique beauty and enthusiastic snuggles. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
