About Oso

Make their next chapter their best one yet. Oso means “bear” in Spanish, but don’t let his name fool you—this gentle giant is all heart and love. Rescued just in time from the county shelter, Oso may be a senior, but he is full of life and eager to share affection with the right family. After years spent outside, he now delights in the comforts of indoor living, enjoying air conditioning and the freedom of a doggy door that lets him explore the yard at his leisure. People are truly his greatest joy. Oso is happiest surrounded by those he loves and is always ready with a tail wiggle and a big smile for every new friend. He adores carrying little stuffed toys around the house and enjoys a game of ball or a nice bath. Treats—especially chicken tacos—are his weakness! Oso is searching for a home where he can be the only dog, soaking up all the love and attention. He’s easygoing, rarely ever barks, and is never short on kisses or wagging tails. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion to share your days, Oso is ready to be your devoted friend. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
