Word from foster mom: World - say hello to the sweetest, most lovable pup-pup named Declan O’Brien. Yes - I (his foster mom) decided he is Irish. Mister O’Brien was picked up as a stray. Not sure how long he was out there, but having him in my home, you wouldn’t know he was a stray. Within the week that he has been with me, he has learned “sit”, “down” and “place”. He is so very smart and treat motivated and that makes the perfect combination for training. He loves being outside and providing me with moral support while I spend hours playing in the garden. He does great in car rides. He does good in his kennel. I was told that he does not do well being kenneled and alone, but in my home there is always a dog presence when he is kenneled and I have had no issues with him kenneled. He sleeps in his kennel every night with no whining at all. He sleeps through the night and when I wake up, I’ll let him outside for his morning potty break. After that he will go right back to sleep and be a good boy until it’s time for breakfast. He is dog and cat friendly. In his foster home he lives with three other dogs (3 males and 1 female) and two cats. He would thrive having a canine companion - another dog that can teach him how to “dog”. He has not been around little kids but best guess is that he would be great with them. Need to do some more work with him to get to stop him from jumping. He gets excited and jumps up to greet people so we are working diligently on that. He has done so well with potty training. He has only had one accident and hasn’t had any accidents in his kennel over night. He has such a sweet soul and loves to snuggles. He is a champion snuggler and would make a perfect sleeping buddy. He is so gentle when taking treats. I can’t say enough about him. A word from Declan: Haiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! Adopt me and I will be your bestest friend forever and ever.
