About Kernel
This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Kernel—though his foster mom likes to call him Max! At two years old, Kernel might be a little shy when you first meet him, but with a bit of patience, you’ll soon find yourself with a loyal, affectionate companion who loves lap cuddles and giving kisses. He thrives around other dogs that are about his size and has enjoyed hanging out with the neighbor kids. While he hasn’t met any cats yet, he’s open to new experiences with the right introduction. Kernel enjoys neighborhood walks—sometimes he tries to be the leader—and a secure yard to explore and zoom around would make him even happier. He’s looking for a home that can offer him a doggy sibling to play with and lots of opportunities for snuggling. Kernel is fully potty trained, and although doggie doors are still a bit mysterious to him, he’s learning quickly. His adorable ears are just the icing on the cake! Kernel is ready for a fresh start with someone who appreciates cuddles, adventures, and soft blankets. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Chiweenies are well-suited for a variety of living environments, including apartments and houses, as long as they get enough exercise and attention from their family.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chiweenies don't require a large yard but do benefit from daily walks and playtime. A secure, small outdoor area is great for them to explore safely.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chiweenies can do well with children, especially if they are socialized from a young age. Their small size means gentle handling is important, so supervision with younger children is recommended.
