About Chiquita

Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Chiquita! She is searching for a loving new family after her previous owner had to move due to breed restrictions—none of her own doing. At first, Chiquita can be shy and timid, but with a bit of patience, she quickly warms up and will soon want to stick by your side wherever you go. Chiquita comes ready with her essentials: a slow feed bowl, treats, a small bag of food, leash, collar, and harness, so you can jump right into your journey together. Chiquita gets along well with kids, people, dogs, and cats, but she may be a bit defensive around larger dogs and benefits from slow introductions. She knows to use a doggy door and is working on her potty consistency, and she’s house trained for your convenience. Chiquita can be destructive if left alone unoccupied due to her puppy-like energy, and she does experience car sickness, so short trips are best. She shines on leash, behaves well during walks, and would especially love a home with a yard and an active family ready to keep her entertained. Chiquita is a healthy, energetic girl eager to meet you! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
