About Frankie
Frankie is a one-year-old Boxer/Lab mix searching for a home that can match his energy and playful spirit. He comes fully vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped, and he'll be neutered soon—he’s available for pre-adoption while waiting on that final vet visit. Frankie was surrendered because he tended to knock over the smaller kids in his last home—not from aggression, but sheer exuberance and not knowing his own strength. With older kids (6+) and adults, Frankie's a hit. He does well with other dogs and can live with cats, though he may chase them in a goofy, non-threatening way. He loves the outdoors, enjoys crawling into tight spots, and brings tons of curiosity and energy wherever he goes. Despite his medium size, he thinks he's a lap dog and soaks up every bit of affection. The shelter has been stressful for Frankie, and when he's unsure or nervous, he's not shy about barking to express himself. Once you gain his trust, you’ll see a soft, loving, and very cuddly side. He’s still working on potty training and leash manners and needs a patient adopter to help him learn. Give Frankie a chance to open up and you’ll get a loyal companion with a big, silly heart.
