About Sweetie
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet sweetie! Sweetie is a Bully mix (American Bulldog/Retriever) who was rescued after a tough start as a street dog, thanks to the care of a kind Good Samaritan and an amazing foster. She battled advanced heartworm disease but is now thriving at her foster home with all her fluids gone and is responding beautifully to slow-kill treatment—we’ll send 18 months of medication to ensure her continued progress. Sweetie is estimated to be around 6 years old, though her age could be younger owing to her former life. She truly lives up to her name: Sweetie is thankful and affectionate, loving hard and deeply appreciative of those caring for her. Great with all animals and people, she’s typically very quiet, remarkably well behaved, and would make an all-around fantastic addition to any family. Sweetie is up to date on shots, spayed, and ready to finally find her forever family. Wags and Whiskers is dedicated to thoughtful adoptions. Please note we do not operate on a first come first serve basis, and allow time for all inquiries. Thank you for considering a rescue pet! Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
