About Michael Douglas
Michael Douglas spent his first five years locked away in a dark, filthy shedāno name, poor food, overgrown nails, no vet care. These early days left him scared but impressively resilient. Now with a name and a new lease on life, Michael is a joyful, 14-lb long-haired dachshund in Omaha, NE. His glossy black and tan coat and always-wagging tail make him hard to miss. Heās happiest glued to your side, indoors or out, always eager to "help" with whatever youāre doing. He bonds quickly and needs someone home much of the time, plus a confident small dog companionāanother playful pup is key, as he learns from those around him. He does best with slow introductions to new people, especially men, and noisy small children aren't a good fit due to his history. Michaelās still learning to trust, and that will take patience and calm from his adopter. Kenneling is easy, but he isnāt house trained yet and needs someone willing to guide him gently; a securely fenced yard is non-negotiable since leash walks are not yet in his skillset. He barks deeply and oftenāapartments arenāt ideal. Heās looking for an adopter who sees past his rough start and celebrates the loyal, affectionate dog heās becoming. Give him that chance and heāll be yours, heart and soul. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
