About Jenny
Jenny arrived from the local shelter right after having her puppies, and moved into foster care so she could recover and raise her pups calmly. She tends to be shy in new situations and hesitant with people she doesn’t know at first, but once she’s comfortable, Jenny is pure affection and will happily dole out hugs. Jenny enjoys wrestling or playing alongside other friendly dogs around her size, but can also entertain herself tossing her toys in the air. She’s working on her confidence in training now, and at about two years old and 40 lbs, she’s ready for her own family. With a little patience, Jenny blossoms into the sweetest companion. Fun fact: Jenny is an Aries, which might help explain her bold streak once she settles in. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Jenny
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Jenny, with her Australian Kelpie and mixed breed background, thrives in a home that offers routine and gentle encouragement, ideally with people who respect her initial shyness and give her time to warm up. She would do well in both houses and apartments as long as she's given enough daily exercise and attention.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Breeds like Jenny’s tend to appreciate a yard for play but can be happy in smaller spaces as long as they get regular walks and playtime. Access to a safe outdoor area where she can explore and sniff would be ideal.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Australian Kelpies and similar mixes like Jenny can do well with children, especially if the kids are calm and understand how to interact with a shy dog. Proper introductions and respect for her space are important.
