About Zia
Zia is a sweetheart who went through a rough start but hasn’t lost her loving spirit. She came in as an owner surrender after spending her early days in stressful, confined conditions, including being crated almost constantly and tied outside. Those experiences left her with some quirks—she used to run in circles from anxiety and has some special needs due to being inbred. These days, she’s settled but still requires someone attentive, patient, and able to read her cues for bathroom needs. Crating isn’t necessary for her, but she’ll use one if needed. She’s a pure Siberian Husky according to her DNA and has no health issues, just a unique brain-wiring that means she needs structure and understanding. Zia thrives with people, is always gentle with kids, and generally gets along with other dogs, except for the occasional sibling-like squabble. Cats aren’t a good match for her—she tends to pester them, circling and sometimes play-mouthing. Zia is happiest with someone home most of the day, giving her companionship and structure.
