About Tony

I'm Tony, and I'm still getting my paws under me after a rough start. I was found wandering after the floods in early July, and no one came to claim me-so now I'm looking for a fresh start with someone patient and kind. Life before the shelter is a bit of a mystery, but here's what I know now: the people here are showing me I'm safe, and I'm slowly learning to trust that. I'm a shy guy at first, but if you've got a tasty treat and a gentle voice, you'll see my sweet side pretty quickly. Volunteers say I'm an "easy" pup-quiet, soft, and oh-so-lovable once I know you. If you're the kind of person who understands that love takes time, I just might be your perfect match. I hope you'll come meet me today. ~~~~~ The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org. In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626. Interested in fostering a dog in need? Join our foster team at wilcotx.gov/390/Fostering and click on "Foster Questionnaire." Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon. We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We'll see you soon at either location!
