About Moose

Here is what the relinquishing family says about him:

?M?oose has been a wonderful companion and gets along well with our toddler — there has never been an aggressive incident between them.?He is a neutered male, playful, and full of love.? ?M?oose thrives in an environment where he can fully be part of the family, without needing to be managed separately or cautiously. He’s incredibly loving, affectionate, and loyal — he will make a fantastic companion in the right setting.? He does experience occasional anxiety that leads to resource guarding, particularly around food. ?We’ve managed this by keeping him separate during meal times and never leaving him unattended with our toddler. As far as ?playing and toys, he loves to play with existing toys that he’s had for a while?.? When we bring new toys home for him, he’ll hide them and can guard them as wel?l. If we’re outside or at dog parks, or at a vacation home with a yard, he’s fine playing with new balls and toys. Most of his anxiety stems from being ?i?ndoors, with my stress of the structure of having a toddler. With another baby on the way, we realize that we won’t be able to provide the same level of structure and supervision.
?M?oose deserves a home where he can be the center of attention and not feel like he's on the sidelines. We’re hoping to find someone with experience or understanding of the breed and resource guarding behavior — ideally a home without young children where he can have the calm and consistent environment he des?erves.
