About Marshmallow
Meet Marshmallow, a remarkable 14-year-old cat in Philadelphia, PA looking for a loving retirement home. She was surrendered due to her previous owner's declining health and narrowly escaped euthanasia, thanks to WOL stepping in. Marshmallow’s gentle sweetness shines through every day; she genuinely loves to be near her person, lounging quietly in a sunny window or settling beside you for long naps. Bird and squirrel watching is one of her favorite pastimes. She gets along with older cats after slow introductions and does well with calm, quiet dogs. Marshmallow would do best in a household without young children, or as an only cat with a human who is home often. Her walk is uniquely charming due to neuropathy in her hind legs, but she’s not in pain. She manages her diabetes with twice-daily insulin injections—a simple routine once you get it down—and continues to share her affectionate spirit every day. If you’re looking for a devoted lap cat in her golden years, Marshmallow is waiting for a loving, stable home. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
