About Maggie
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet sweet Maggie! She has shown incredible resilience after starting her life in a van on Skid Row, surrounded by 16 other dogs and acting as a loving mama to 12 puppies. Sadly, most of her puppies passed away from Parvo, and though she was left behind at first, Maggie has never lost her capacity for love. She radiates soulful energy and her affectionate, loving nature makes her truly irresistible. Maggie blossoms in the company of people; she loves spending time close to her humans, seeking gentle attention and petting. Her playful side shines when she's running in the yard, chasing balls, or playing with her foster dog buddies, Lainey and Chester—she is happy to share her toys and enjoyment. After playtime, she loves to relax and be by your side for a good cuddle. Smart and food motivated, Maggie takes treats with a gentle touch and already knows commands like “sit” and “down.” She's eager to learn more and is very trainable with a positive approach. As she continues her journey, Maggie could benefit from leash training and would appreciate a strong handler, as her curiosity and zest for exploring can occasionally lead to pulling. Maggie does great with her foster pals, but she will need slow and managed introductions to new large dogs to ensure harmonious relationships in her future home. As a possible Doberman/Rottweiler mix, she expresses a loyal, "Velcro" dog personality—she's happiest when she's right beside her people. At around 1-2 years old and weighing 75 pounds, Maggie is ready to begin her next adventure and dream of a loving forever home. Foster-to-adopt is an option to help everyone find the perfect fit!
