Strikingly beautiful with her soft gray tabby coat and captivating gold eyes, Joplin is a young girl with a gentle spirit and a shy streak. She was found as a stray in Colonie in January and is slowly learning to trust the world around her. Joplin prefers to observe her surroundings from cozy cubbies and quiet corners, often keeping to herself. While she may give a little hiss when unsure, approach her slowly and she’ll melt into your touch, reward you with a sweet, loud purr, and happily accept all the affection you’re willing to give. We’re still getting to know Joplin, but she seems comfortable around other mellow cats and could live with a friendly feline companion—or be your one-and-only. She’s looking for a peaceful home with no small children and a patient person who understands that some hearts open slowly, but fully.
