Harpo
AvailableHarpo is a large, brown tabby domestic short hair residing in Albany, NY. He is a 6-year-old adult male, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations. His coat is short and he is house trained. Harpo requires daily medication for diabetes, so he needs an adopter who can manage his special needs care.
About Harpo
Harpo is named for the famously silent Marx brother. As a kitten, he was completely quiet with both people and other cats, but everything changed when he found his way to a volunteer's house—and discovered unlimited food. These days, Harpo is very social with the other cats at home and truly enjoys being petted. He’ll rub his face against you to ask for more attention. He prefers not to be picked up, which isn't surprising since he’s a big cat. Harpo has developed diabetes due to his weight and takes a pill once a day. He’s on a weight-loss plan and the need for attentive care is ongoing. Harpo is neutered, vaccinated, house trained, and has been tested for FELV/FIV. He’s not suitable for homes with dogs or young children but does well with other cats. Born on March 17, Harpo is a Pisces—gentle and affectionate. He’s waiting in Albany, NY for a special adopter.
