About Cetan
Cetan is a striking black and white polydactyl cat who’s left feral life mostly behind and is on the verge of being truly friendly. He needs a quiet home with someone experienced in taming feral cats—Cetan’s history means he won’t thrive with novices. Having other cats in the home isn’t just ideal, it’s necessary; he loves feline company, chatting away with his impressive vocabulary and always wanting to interact with his peers. Nine months ago, Cetan hid from humans, hissed, and made himself invisible. Now, he purrs for attention and leans into gentle affection—though he still prefers people wear gloves or not let him see bare hands on his back. He’s playful and likes to greet people at his room’s door. Lifting him is still a work in progress, but his foster family sees daily shifts forward. Whether he’s leaning on your legs or observing family life from his gated room, Cetan is curious about his world. He needs a patient adopter prepared to earn his trust and help him keep blooming. With continued care, Cetan could make an amazing pet for the right person. His adoption team will be very selective—they want only the best for Cetan. Questions about Cetan
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Domestic short hair cats like Cetan are highly adaptable, but Cetan's needs are more specific given his background—he’ll do best in a calm, quiet home with other cats and an experienced, patient owner.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Cetan is an indoor cat and, as a domestic short hair, doesn't require outdoor space. He finds plenty of stimulation and enrichment indoors, especially with feline companions.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Generally, domestic short hairs are adaptable, but Cetan's socialization journey means he needs adult-only or teen homes familiar with feral cats. He is not suited to younger children.
