About Chester
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Chester, a striking and resilient Australian Cattle Dog mix who has overcome a tough past. Rescued from a small cage in a van on Skid Row, where he lived with other dogs, Chester is blossoming in his foster home and ready to find a loving family. Although shy at first, his affectionate nature shines through once he trusts you—he adores belly rubs and enjoys being close by your side. Chester is highly intelligent and eager to please, showing off his gentle demeanor and quiet nature. He loves car rides, is house trained, and does well on walks—he may pull a bit, but remains non-reactive to other dogs and even unusual sights like horses and peacocks. Chester enjoys the company of other dogs and is currently thriving in a foster home with fellow canine friends. Because he can be a bit of an escape artist, a breed-savvy adopter who is patient and understanding will help him thrive. Foster to adopt options are available for this sweet and special boy.
