About Genesee
Meet Genesee. She’s a petite, young tabby who came into rescue as a shy kitten and is still learning to trust people. Genesee keeps close to the shadows when volunteers are around, but the sound of wet food being opened is irresistible to her. Offer her some freeze-dried chicken and she becomes noticeably braver—most of her best photos were taken with this trick. She’s making slow but steady progress coming out of her shell, and for anyone who has helped a shy cat blossom, it’s deeply satisfying. Genesee clearly wants to connect and has a gentle, affectionate side just waiting for the right encouragement. With patience (and some treats), she’s bound to become a devoted companion. Genesee is very friendly with other cats, so she’d do well in a home with feline company. She’s currently at a cat condo on Five Points in Buffalo, sharing space and snacks with her kitty neighbors.
