About Phoebe
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Phoebe, a sweet and submissive Great Pyrenees rescued locally and now waiting to meet her forever family. At nearly 4 years old and weighing about 80 pounds, Phoebe sports a freckled, charming badger-faced look and is adored for her gentle temperament. She may be a little shy at first with new people, but will soon approach for pets and affection on her own terms. With other dogs, she is friendly and prefers play with bigger companions, leaving the smaller pups alone. Phoebe is house trained and does well on a leash, though she sometimes pulls. She loves car rides—especially watching the world go by from the window. Loud noises such as thunder and fireworks can frighten her, so she will appreciate a quiet nook just for herself during storms. While grooming isn't her favorite, Phoebe takes real joy in keeping her yard free from squirrels and birds. This loving girl is simply waiting to bring her gentle heart into your home. Phoebe is currently in a foster home north of Dallas, Texas, and out-of-state adopters will need to arrange their own transportation to meet her. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. The rescue will help approved adopters connect with her foster to arrange an introduction. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
